but the house it belongs to is rather frightening and sometimes gloomy to me ..

is the whole house so? i think, i would like a part of a house in that style, but all? my room must be lighter, more cheerful.
i think, that was a good room for my dear grandma.
however, i like it very much.

your grandma wouldn't enjoy living and sleeping close to a flushing mechanism would she? :/ thought the room seams big in this pic, it is not at all .. and the whole house has got three stairs which are constructed in a totally different style than these toilets. (is "toilets" the right english word to define what french call "WC" and do american and english people say "I go to the water closet" in their all day life?) I wanna know everything ! haha

toilett is the right word. or toilet? i don't know. but you can say wc, too. in germany exist this word.

the wallpaper is beautiful. I like this alot, it has a vintage feel to it.
